Occasionally my husband will go golfing on Sunday mornings which means that after Mass, it is just me and my girls :). We will typically make plans to go over to my parents house, Austin's house or Kelli's house to hang out and have some catch up time. However, this past Sunday we decided to hang out just us girls and we had the very best time.
The girls had their first day of religious ed class and while I knew Everly was my shy, cautious baby she has never thrown a fit when being left at preschool or nursery care- this day was different. She full on had a meltdown when I left. Luckily, the lady that runs the program and has known our family for years swooped in, picked her up and calmed her down in about two minutes but it was still unnerving leaving my crying toddler. Emma's drop off went just fine :). When I picked Ev's up, she handed me her artwork and told me, "me make this for you" and it was the sweetest little mirror and it turns out she had a good time.
After class, we headed to the park to have a photoshoot/play at the playground.
Emma is always running ahead and Ev's is always lolligagging behind which makes trying to keep up with two by myself a little challenging :).
We went about two hours too late so the light wasn't quite as good as I wanted it, but check out that twirl.
These dresses are seriously the best.
Oh, hi there- sweet Ev's.
I am not sure what this move is but I like it ;).
This is my current favorite picture of Ev's- I think it sums up her current stage, undoubtedly sweet with a side of mischievous.
Those boots. I love those boots. She loves those boots. And unfortunately, Ev's loves those boots. This is unfortunate because they don't make these boots in Ev's size.
We took a break from picture taking (they weren't really in the mood ;)) and I told the girls a make believe story. From the looks of it, Emma really enjoyed my story about Elsa, Anna and the dragons :).
A couple of rounds of 'Ring Around the Rosie later and they were done and ready to head to the park.
I love that they are the sweetest when they both agree to do the same activity.
One last smile because she wanted to hold the camera :).
At the park, the swings always seem to be their favorite.
And how is it possible that my baby knows how to ride the big girl swing and insists on saying 'me big' the whole time she rides in it.
After the park, Mama wanted Starbucks so we braved it (even knowing that naps were almost in order) to have an iced coffee (for me) and cake pops (for them). We sat outside and enjoyed a nice/chaotic chat and attempted to get a picture of all three of us to send daddy.
When that failed, I went with just me and my baby.
One iced coffee refill later, we tried it one last time before packing up and heading home.
Love spending time with just these two crazies.
My favorite picture is Everly on the swing with her big grin! Too cute!! Love the fall colors on the girls!
