Downtime with Nonni

When we got back from Four Sisters Mountain, the girls had some downtime with Nonni (and of course Wes) while I worked for a few days. They did many things together, here are a few highlights.

Nonni rode our scooter!

The girls, Nonni and Wes spent lots and lots of time at our swimming pool. One night I went to join them and before I could get in the thunder picked up so we decided to head home (we made it just in time before it poured!).

They went to playgrounds.

They ate ice cream and popsicles.

And Nonni elicited the best smiles out of Emma - I just love this picture she took!

We showed Nonni our favorite indoor playground.

And we wrapped up the four days by eating at Iron Pig the night before we left for Guilin!

Four Sisters Mountain, Part Three

Sunday started out with morning snuggles with her best pup. You guys, she constantly asks for a dog and we constantly tell her no, we are not getting a dog when we move home and seeing her like this is making me consider a hamster. Ha! This is kind of what we agreed to - when we get home, she can have a hamster. I just hope she has a good one, like my Zippity. 

Seriously, the cutest little hotel, that makes it feel like camping but with a bed.

Making a wish!

After breakfast, we wandered a little further...

I wholeheartedly believe getting my kids outdoors as much as possible is so good for them!

Emma and Nonni are best buds.

That little profile reminds me of Emma as a baby.

Poor girl, it was about this time of the morning where we realized something just wasn't quite right. We think she might have been affected by the altitude (when we got into the car to leave, she promptly fell asleep at 10:30 in the morning).

Just a girl who has been missing her Nonni like crazy and couldn't wait for her to arrive in Chengdu!

On our way back, we stopped at the 4 Sisters Mountain viewpoint, the cloud coverage was crazy, so we didn't get a good shot, but beautiful nonetheless.

It was a great way to start out Nonni's visit to Chengdu!!
