The next morning - we were up early again because we needed to make it to the departure point for our Mt Fuji/Lake Ashi tour by 8:30 in the morning (and we were taking the subway to get there). Anyways, we found it and actually had plenty of time to grab a cup of coffee #momanddadwin before we set off for the day. This is mine and Wes's first organized tour to take with kids so we were a little skeptical, but we also couldn't find an affordable way to get to Mt Fuji on our own so we just went with it. Also, kids under six were free. While, we thought awesome at first, we later realized (once sitting on the tour bus) that meant there was no seats for the girls. Oh wait, their seats were our laps. For more than two and a half hours. Next time, we will definitely buy them a seat even if they are 'free'.
^ our tour guide had a homemade sign! we were able to go all the way up to viewing station number 4 (look for it on the right side of the map), we were told that the week or so leading up to our tour gate they had only been able been going to viewing station number one. just for reference number 6 - 10 viewing stations are only open in the summer time for hikers and viewing station 1 - 5 you can drive to when it is open (based on weather conditions). ^
