Singapore | Gardens by the Bay, Night

After a rest, we decided to head back to Gardens by the Bay since our tickets were good all day and we wanted to see it at night.  I realize that these pictures are fairly underwhelming - it was beautiful in person, but hard to capture in pictures.  We enjoyed walking around in the cooler weather and seeing it all lit up at night!

^ we made our way back into the flower dome for these flowers that open up at night when you touch them.  Emma had read about it during the morning and insisted we go back to check it out - since we are in the business of making dreams come true, we made sure to let her see it ;). ^

^ I agree with Ev's (and Abby) - the waterfall is much cooler during the day! overall, we liked seeing it at night, but if you can only make it one time - I would definitely go during the day. ^

Singapore | Gardens by the Bay, Splash Pad

The girls were so excited to head to the splash pad after the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.  I knew it would be hot hot hot for me and Wes, but we were pleasantly surprised, there was a huge shady spot with lots of fans that made it fairly pleasant to watch our girls splash around for an hour or two.

^ there she is - I will say this park was a lot of water and my girls don't love water in their eyes; going forward, I brought their goggles with us everywhere we went. ^

^ Marina Bay Sands, Flower Dome, Singapore Flyer and one cutie in a mingo suit in the left middle - what a view! ^

^ the girls had such a blast - if we lived in Singapore, I think we would visit this place pretty awesome (you have to pay to go in the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, but the water park is completely free!). ^

^ this splash pad was much more toddler friendly for Evsie's. ^

^ Emma joined from time to time too! ^

^ when we are travelling and sight seeing a bunch, I love to take breaks like this to let the girls get all their sillies and giggles out. Singapore had so many places to do this!! I think this is imperative for happy kids and happy parents when travelling.  their smiles were contagious. ^

^ after the splash pad, we went to go have a late lunch at a place I had read about. ^

^ the chicken and waffles was pretty good, but I was a little underwhelmed compared to the reviews that I read. ^

^ and back to the hotel for an afternoon coffee and a rest. ^

Singapore | Gardens by the Bay, Cloud Forest

I am honestly not sure which of the domes (Flower Dome or Cloud Forest) that I liked better.  Both were enchanting and completely unexpected and took my breath away at one point.  I loved walking into Cloud Forest greeted by this magnificent waterfall and the burst of air that came with it (have I mentioned that Singapore was hot ;)).

  

^ it is said to boast the largest indoor waterfall in the world. ^

^ I loved the way that the sun streamed in both domes. ^

^ the waterfall scared the girls just a tad bit so Emma kept her distance, but we convinced Everly to run and get a picture with daddy. ^

^ the greenery in here was amazing as well - I am thinking Singapore must have the perfect conditions for flowers, everything was in bloom! ^

^ I love travelling with this girl! she really has such an adventurous spirit and tells me how much she 'loves going on holiday'. and I love capturing that real smile (I can tell I have captured it when I can barely see her eyes!). ^

^ at the Cloud Forest, you can ride an elevator up to the top floor (if I am remembering correctly there are 6 or 7 floors) and then you can walk down - this was looking up at what we were about to walk down. ^
