Hello and happy happy Friday! Friday nights are my favorites- we always wonder down to our favorite neighborhood Chinese food restaurant, split a beer and wrap up the evening with some time at the playground. Last Friday was no exception. We ate and then meandered to the bakery stopping to take their picture in the golf cart along the way.
She can almost reach the pedal ;). We ran into Emma's bestie at the bakery and the girls had the best time playing together!
On Saturday morning, we baked muffins (I brought a lot of those packages that you just add milk to from the US) and this girl loves to help out. And licking the bowl clean is definitely her favorite part ;).
On Saturday, we figured out the pool pass situation and headed to the playground. It was steaming hot, and when Emma asked for a Hong Kong waffle, we headed to the bakery before heading home to hunker down for naps and stay cool.
They get pretty excited about getting their weekend waffle!!
Love it when she grabs daddies hat to wear to dinner ;).
When we got to the playground that night, Emma's friend was not there so I went ahead and texted her mom and the girls played together again :). Wes thought my flash was too blinding - we had so much fun, we didnt head home until after dark!
Sunday was the girls favorite day of the week by far- swimming day! Their first time in our neighborhood outdoor pool! Emma jumped on me before 7am letting reminding me that it was swimming day. I attempted to let her know that it doesn't open until 11am. Needless to say, by 11, they were R.E.A.D.Y!!!
And we really had so much fun - can you see Emma way out there?
The pool is a walk in pool which is great for the girls and there is lots of room for walking and running and jumping!
We had the whole thing to ourselves and even though it was chilly, we had the best time!
Emma practiced her starfish moves!
We were there for close to four hours when we finally called it quits to limit the sun exposure.
My favorite -the look Everly gave me when I told her it was time to get out of the pool. She was not to happy with that decision.
But she fell asleep in her stroller on our 15 minute walk home.
I didn't mind it though - I scooped her up to give her some extra snuggles (after I changed into my jammies ;))- which reminds me of all the sleeping together we did when she was a baby!
The girls are obsessed with this map in our neighborhood -Everly like to look at it no less than three times a week. My favorite - that she always always bring a 'lovie' with her wherever we go!
In this lighting it is hard to see, but Emma's new favorite thing is to slide down these things that are really meant for balls - it is normally quite the crowd pleaser ;).
Wrapping up the weekend with an ice cream :). Favorites all around :).
This coming weekend, we are all set to celebrate dad! His one request- to get his haircut so wish us luck on that endeavor :). Our celebrations look quite a bit different here, we will probably also grab Starbucks and pizza while we are out, but the important thing is that we are all together soaking in quality family time! Hope you have a great weekend!!

I thought China was really crowded, but your pictures make it look like ya'll are the only ones there! Hope ya'll have a great father's day - good luck on the haircut!
