December seems like a great time to wrap up Halloween, don't you think?? That is how far behind I am on this little blog so humor me while we talk about Halloween in our neighborhood.
Remember, how I posted this picture on Halloween - we were headed to a Halloween party in our neighborhood the Saturday before Halloween.
I like to call this one, 'a princess fairy and a giraffe walked into a party...'.
There were lots of games set up and you would collect a stamp after you finished all the games. One of their favorites was throwing (magnetic) darts.
We baked cookies.
And added a little jelly?
The girls carved pumpkins.
Evsie's got her face painted/colored on - purple cat whiskers is what she chose.
And when we were done, they handed over their paper filled with stamps and got a mask!
And a pumpkin hat!! She told us she was a giraffe lambie pumpkin (sounds about right ;)).
Walking out we played the games a few more times - it was a fun way to spend the afternoon and we didn't have to go far.
On Halloween, Wes was able to make the girls activities at school (parade in the morning and class parties in the afternoon). Poor Evsie's couldn't get her giraffe costume off fast enough and had an accident - so we had a last minute costume swap with her and she decided to be a caterpillar :). I think she was a pretty cute caterpillar.
Emma was at swimming lessons with L and so we had this girl to ourselves just for a few minutes before we went to another neighborhood Halloween party :).
When we got there, we found L and Emma already playing the games - in this one they had to pick up ping pong balls with chopsticks and move the ball to the other bowl.
It was quite challenging for our kiddos ;).
We threw the ball in a hole,
Ev's tried her hand at the chopsticks/ping pong ball game,
and Wes wore the pumpkin hat :).
Love her little tongue out in concentration.
Everly threw a ring around the witches hat,
which earned her a witch's hat of her own.
This game was also pretty challenging, you were supposed to pick up the paper using the suction you created with a straw, just pick up the paper and the straw if you are three years old ;).

This was one of my favorite games, I helped Emma a little, but together we blew the ball across the cups.
We had some snacks and then we had a little bit of time to hang out before trick or treat!
There are several smaller neighborhoods within our community and there were three chosen to trick or treat in - since it was all spread out, it was quite exhausting for the little ones (I was so thankful Wes brought our strollers, after the first neighborhood, we needed them!).
Evsie's has a sweet friend too and they were particularly adorable this evening. As we all know, Ev's is slow by nature so it will come as no surprise when I tell you we trick-or-treated at the back of the pack!
Ahhh, so sweet! I didn't get too many pictures of the trick-or-treat part because it was mostly pure chaos, but my heart was so happy that we got to give the girls a 'normal' Halloween.

All of that trick-or-treating makes a girl thirsty.
