Beijing | Coal Hill Park

After exploring the Forbidden City, we walked to Coal Hill Park which I think was definitely one of the most unexpected surprises for me during this trip. The views were stunning! Even though it is a trek with a sleeping Everly and Emma on my back, we were glad we made the effort to go up and check it out!

^^ the moat around the Forbidden City ^^

^^ can we really make it up there with two toddlers?? ^^

^^ the changing leaves were a wonderful surprise ^^

^^ it was quite the trek to the top, we woke up sis along the way and Emma was H.E.A.V.Y. feeling (we started the day (with her on my back) at 7:30am to grab breakfast before we met Glenn and this was now nearing 5:30pm) by this point and it felt like we would never make it, but we did! ^^

^^ we were met with spectacular views of the Forbidden City ^^

^^ the start of a sunset ^^

^^ orange roofs for days ^^

^^ hey, we were just down there ^^

^^ hanging in there together ^^

^^ tired, but so incredibly incredibly happy ^^

^^ stroller life, now you can see why she woke up on the way up ^^

^^ the afternoon sunlight was golden ^^

^^ a few more family shots before making our way out ^^

  1. Wow that pic of Wes with Everly in the stroller - what a trooper he is! Also you with Ems on your back :)

    1. we are troopers ;). look closely (maybe you don't even have to look that closely) and you can see how exhausted we are from that day!
