Oh, February. You were so good to us! We celebrated our big three year old with a worm bash, followed by a whole day of celebrating just her and ended February in Florida where we spent time at the beach and at Disney World (one last post still to come!). Even though we had so many big things happen this month, we were able to fit in lots of little things as well :).
February 1st was a Sunday and after Mass, Emma and I had a little date and we went to go meet my friend Kelli's brand spanking new baby.
After watching Emma with baby Seodore, I knew she would really appreciate this one-on-one time with mommy and get to snuggle a new baby :). He was so new and little and sleepy! Gahhh, I just love newborns! Baby Connor, we are so glad you are here!
Later that afternoon, after naps, we headed to Target to pick up a few things and we finally indulged Emma in her request for a red drink. She had been requesting these quite regularly and we kept telling her no, so she was beyond delighted when we said yes :).
Wes still rocks Emma to sleep every night in this recliner. The night of the Super Bowl, she brought dad our huge grumpy cat and giraffe to accompany her while she fell asleep :).
A few days later Wes had a dentist appointment and his parents were watching the girls, so we got to have a nice date lunch at Mi Cocina :). Love having lunch dates with him :).
Everly pulled out all of the condiments from the refrigerator and Emma did what she does best and put them all in a line- these sisters, partners in crime :). p.s. the couch covers were in the wash since we were preparing for Emma's birthday party.
I saw this picture on my photo stream, I am not sure what these were getting into, but I absolutely love it when Wes dresses them alike!
Emma has been really into helping vacuum lately- it's nice that on one hand she wants to help out, but boy, oh boy, it requires a lot of patience!
The first Saturday it was going to hit 70, we woke up bright and early and headed to the Botanical Gardens- much to everyone's dismay, it was still in the 40's and freezing. I wanted to test out our new camera so badly, that we forged ahead with our plans.
Ev's was a
little shy freezing cold at first.
However, slowly, but surely, she started coming out of her shell. This has been my go to uniform with Ev's this winter- cute dress + tights + moccs. Obsessed :).
We found the light!
This girl is so full of personality.
She didn't want us to take her picture at all, and she was particularly freezing, but we still were able to capture a couple of cute pictures of our Emma.
After the picture taking fiasco, we headed to the zoo where we
rode the carousel and let the girls run around a bit.
Emma wanted to push Eberleah's stroller. This didn't last very long since they are very close in size :).

Ahhh those baby thighs. While much smaller than last summer, they haven't gone away completely! And I am obsessed with them while they are here! And will be showing them off and squishing them every chance I get this summer!
We attempted a few nights in her crib, but I caved in and ultimately just couldn't handle all of the crying.
On Sunday before church, I like to take pictures if time permits. I don't know how/why she grabbed that clip, but I think it turned out rather cute :).
As I tried to take her picture, she tried to run away from me- tongue sticking out in concentration.
So I scooped her up and handed the camera over to dad. I love the way she looks at me :).
After church, we went over to Nonni and Papa George's house; before she indulged in ice cream, Emma helped Nonni cut up and eat her cantaloupe.
Sleeping Eberleah- yes, she still takes all of her weekend naps with me unless they are in the car.
Emma's preschool had Western Day- she was so so excited about being able to ride a pony, I don't know why her smile is not bigger ;). And yes, that is the most western outfit we own, what can I say, I just don't have a thing for the country or their clothes ;).
We had the girl's well checks in February (Emma- 3 years, Everly- 18 months); both girls aced them and did really well. This was Emma's first time to get her blood pressure checked! I was amazed by how low children's blood pressure's are.
Ev's did really good too, until it came to the actual checkup part. I just love that her and her baby doll were sitting exactly alike :).

Nonni sent over some Valentine's for the girls! They were super excited to open them and see stickers inside!
Em's put lots of stickers on Eberleah.
And me.
And Bailey.
And then proceeded to share the rest of her stickers with her best horse, Oats.
The girls loved their Valentine's :).
Prepping for your birthday party is fun when mom lets you give the leftover cake batter a try :).
The morning of her party, she was up and at 'em early and ready to party requesting a party hat right away.
Wes had to run to Kroger to get a few last minute things I forgot and he came home with Valentine's donuts for the girls.
They of course, were over the moon that their daddy would return with such a treat!
After Emma's worm bash and naps, we changed clothes and Everly decided she would like to try my Valentine's day treat from Nonni- stinker that one!
Then, we tested out one of Emma's new toys, a bug vacuum and went on a bug hunt.
She loves scooping up bugs and dirt with this thing!
Until she found a 'very scary witch' and had to tiptoe so the witch wouldn't hear her :). The imagination this girl has is one of a kind!
Then, Eberleah comes tromping behind her not understanding the tiptoeing that is happening ;).
She needed a lift back home, which is more than fine by me :).
That night, we had an outdoor fire. Our last one with this fire pit, as Wes noticed it was caving at the bottom.
The next day, we headed over to my parents house after Mass for Emma to open up her birthday presents from them. Papa George made Emma and outdoor fire (she loves to help him go get the wood and put it in the fire pit).
Then, she was ready to open her presents :).
Nonni and her girls had lots of fun putting the puzzles together :).
After naps on Sunday, we let the girls have a leftover chocolate worm. They climbed up in my lap for some snuggles.
Ev's the imitator, look at her trying to make a cheese face like big-sister Emma. Love watching these two together even when they are being stinker pants.
Somewhere in there, I am having a hard time recalling exactly when, Emma celebrated Mardi Gras at school :).
After a short work week, we headed off to Disney World where we wrapped up February!
