Ready to kick off Monday with a monster sized September Little Things? Ok, me too :).
^ September 1 and this girl found her pumpkin hat and sunglasses - the funny part is, she didn't even realize it was 'fall'. ^
^ she can be a goof sometimes. ^
^ see what I mean?? I included this picture just so you don't think she is perfectly behaved all the time ;) (she has her fair share of spunk). ^
^ Emma looks so grown up here! ^
^ I couldn't get over how long her hair is/looked this particular day. ^
^ we were headed to our favorite indoor playground and we stopped at Starbucks so Wes and I could grab a coffee and Ev's couldn't stop twirling and I couldn't stop looking at her long hair - it's gotten so so long and I just love it. ^
^ they might be getting too big for this ride? ^
^ they adore this playground, but just like anything else, the more times we go, the less pictures I have of it. ^
^ Sunday afternoon and ready for gymnastics. ^
^ Emma drew a chicken for Nonni. ^
^ in this picture, she was looking at it and told me, "Nonni better find a good spot in her home for this, like above her bed so she can look at it every night." she was taking it very seriously.
^ a particularly smiley Ev's. ^
^ Wes came out of Starbucks and he saw me taking the girls picture and he just assumed I was asking them to twirl so he started twirling too :). ^
^ perk of gymnastics class - there is a Starbucks in the same mall. ^
^ when she saw that Wes and I took a picture together, she wanted in too. ^
^ and one with just mommy :). ^
^ Ev's was really feeling the pictures this particular day. ^
^ Emma was feeling the smooches :). ^
^ Emma loves so hard and it is one of my favorite things about her. ^
^ stretching at gymnastics. ^
^ in these posts, you will see no less than four pictures of weekly gymnastics class - the girls love going! ^
^ during September, we had some beautiful sunrises; I always tried to remember to pop my head out and have a look before heading off to work. ^
^ we got this picture from Emma's teacher; I adore the self portrait phase and I love that big happy smile she drew on herself. ^
^ the blue skies and clouds were stunning during September. ^
^ I went to the girls school to learn more about the curriculum and loved seeing their artwork and talking to their teachers; the long hair kills me, she really wants to have Rapunzel hair. ^
^ after I got home from the school, the girls were ready to head to the playground. ^
^ always always takes the time to stop and smell the flowers. ^
^ there was a puppy at the playground and Emma was particularly delighted. ^
^ the girls that the dog was with let Emma play with this puppy all afternoon and it definitely made her day. smitten doesn't even come close to how Emma was feeling. ^
^ Everly was a bit more shy, but also enjoyed snuggling up the pup. ^
^ jump jump jump! we feel so grateful to have such an amazing playground so close by. ^
^ wheeee! ^
^ one night after I had tucked them in, I headed back in and they just looked so peaceful, I took a picture. ^
^ bike and scooter ride in style. ^
^ another weekend, another gymnastics class :). ^
^ it has been incredibly rainy in Chengdu and the girls have spent a lot of time at the bus stop with their umbrellas. ^
^ our first jalapeno! ^
^ Emma tucked herself into a pillow so that it mimicked a mermaid tail and waited for daddy's birthday party guests. ^
^ Minnie Mouse showed up for the occasion as well. ^
^ fried peppers and Wes's favorite cake. ^
^ getting ready to blow out the candles. ^
^ such joy! we had so much fun celebrating Wes this year. ^
^ Ev's worked on coloring in one of her lunch bags on a Sunday morning. ^
^ we didn't have much to do the day after Wes's birthday so we went to the mall early before gymnastics to let the girls jump jump jump. ^
^ they loved trying out their new flipping skills. ^
^ the girls got to try out the high bar this day. ^
^ we discovered that our neighborhood is getting a Starbucks and it was one of the best days we have had living in China ;). ^
^ that Monday I got to walk the girls to the bus stop since Wes and I were headed on a day date to celebrate our anniversary. ^
^ love being married to this guy for seven years! ^
^ on our actual anniversary we took the girls to the indoor playground! ^
^ Everly was making Abby expressions :). ^
^ her eyes closed smile might be my new favorite. ^
^ Emma found some flowers to put in her hair. ^
^ and gave us a twirl outside Bux. ^
^ walking to the indoor playground and the girls found this stage and made it all their own. ^
^ a friend of theirs from school was at the playground and they had extra fun playing with her. ^
^ this is the same weekend Everly learned how to write her name. ^
^ Good Good for dinner - if you find yourself in Chengdu, I would highly recommend it -it has been our current favorite for several months now. ^
^ Abby and Ev's ready for gymnastics. ^
^ this was the first weekend we switched to the 9am class (taught in English) and the girls had a blast! ^
^ afterwards, we checked out the flower market. Emma fell in love with these baby turtles, but all we left with was some plants much to her dismay (much to my dismay, I forgot to grab a picture of what we got :)).
^ beer with a view - the weather was so nice in September this happened on several occasions. ^
^ the jalapeno got a little bit bigger! ^
^ one Saturday morning, Em's got in her roller blade gear all by herself. I think she was trying to tell us she was ready to go go go!! ^
^ got some encouragement from Minnie Mouse before taking off. ^
^ they can seriously be the sweetest of the sweet to each other (when in the right mood). ^
^ we tried out a new brunch place. verdict: not that great. ^
^ Luxelakes playground for a bit. ^
^ we picked up some local snacks to take home and that ended September and started 8 days with no car thanks to Golden Week. September has always been a special month with Wes's birthday and our anniversary and I am so glad we got to celebrate both this year. ^
