November was crazy with a capital C. But at least it was crazy fun! Here is a look at what we were up to this month!!
Bus stop drop off pictures are my favorite!
Wes used his creative energy and made some Halloween door signs for the school! I actually think we snapped this picture in October, but it didn't make it into the last post :).
Dress down days are always a favorite - esp. because we let them choose their own outfits ;).
And hairstyles ;).
Now that it is freezing in Chengdu, I can't believe they were wearing shorts just one month ago!
Emma has always wanted to try candy corn (we can't find it anywhere here!) - she says it's her favorite, but honestly she has no clue. My mom secured her a bag and I know she will be crazy excited about it! Hope it lives up to the hype.
One weekend we had a picnic at our favorite playground with several families.
Sticker tattoos!
We came home and got dressed to go to dinner. I love the way Emma is looking at Everly here.
They were posing. I am not even sure how they come up with this stuff.
My twinsies. p.s. Emma's headscarf is because she is really into fashion lately.
Sunday we had a playdate with some of our favorite friends at their swimming pool.
How you serve yourself dinner when you are short, but can't wait for your mom to put it in a bowl.
Picture day at school! Can't wait to show you what their school pictures look like!
Someone had a class birthday party!
I just love when she lets me put her hair in piggies.
Even if these were quite lopsided.
Donuts for them, coffee for us - we were all pretty pleased about this situation.
Sister smooches.
Our last gymnastics class of the year - I am telling you, November and December are crazy!
The girls painted their pottery after class.
Mike's Pizza for dinner and Monkey Knots (basically cinnamon rolls) to round things off.
Sunday morning, dressed and ready for lunch :).
Hopped on an airplane to Taiwan for about 48 hours.
Saturday morning Starbucks for us plus crafts for the girls.
You GUYS!! My kids went to a sleepover - I guess first grade is when kids get the sleepover bug? I can't believe they did it, I just don't even know how they are this big. Wes and I got a nearly 24 hour date!!! It was crazy fun for them and for us :). We had dinner and drinks :).
While they had play time, concerts and a chocolate cake.
When we picked them up on Sunday they put on a special performance for us.
Everly was the tooth fairy :).
That afternoon, we had the most glorious weather so we headed to the playground to enjoy the sunshine.
Monday morning, we were off to Shanghai for a week (more on this to come!).
We got back the following Saturday around midnight, but that didn't stop us from having fun on Sunday - we took the girls to their very first movie in a theatre. I don't know why, but it is hilarious to me that my kiddos have been around the world (quite literally), but never to a movie theatre :).
What started as a lunch date and movie unfolded into dinner and tons of playtime.
Monday morning, the girls were off to school with Thailand inspired lunch sacks.
Wes prepped a little for Christmas.
And on Tuesday evening, we found ourselves in Thailand for a belated Thanksgiving celebration :).
We made it back to Chengdu December 2nd and someone very special arrived on December 3rd!
