We still have a few November posts to go (i.e. all about our Port Aransas beach trip), but while the pictures finish uploading to our photostream (story for another day, just say aaaaggghhhhh; Apple- I love you and despise you all at the same time!) I figured we would go back and recap all of the small, fun things that happened during the month of November.
November 1st happened to be Daylight Savings and let me tell you, this little fall back is torture, pure torture for parents. We were up, had eaten breakfast, taken down all of our Halloween decorations, played with bubbles and had our turkey up before 7am. Yes, you read that right, 7am. Needless to say, Ev's followed up that day with a solid week of waking up between 4:30 and 4:45.
She was pretty cute hugging on Mister Turkey though.
After Mass that day, we headed to Aunt Celeste's house to hang out for a bit- these two have a special place in their heart for each other, and I think this picture captures the way they feel about each other perfectly.
I had gone inside for a minute, came back out and Emma was a teenager.
I noticed her slight outfit mishap and she rewarded me with her signature one-eye-closed smile :).
Evsie's sat on the island playing the cutest game of peek-a-boo with uncle Mike.
And she loves her aunt Celeste too!
We are so lucky to have her in our lives :).

I snuck in a selfie to assure him that even though Emma claimed that she was babysitting our little guy that I would be there in case of emergency, or you know, just general adult supervision :).
Up first on our agenda was lunch; we were starving so Wes went to go get a pizza and while we all chowed down, Emma took over feeding baby Theodore duties.
They were both pretty pleased about this
Even stopping to give smooches and just generally cute looks along the way.
Don't look now Austin, but when the spoon got in the way of feeding Theo- Emma opted to use her hands ;). You know, for the sake of efficiency.
Next up on our activity list was naptime for all three kids. I put Theo down first and then I got the girls settled in Austin and Craig's bed and they all fell peacefully asleep.
For more than 2 hours!! You guys, we totally felt like rock stars and even had that moment of "oh my goodness, we could totally do this three kid thing," then they woke up and reality set in ;).
Theodore was the first to wake up from his nap, and I got to snuggle him and feed him his bottle and even though he normally looks so big to me; right here, in this moment, I got to remember that he is still a baby.
After bath one night, Ev's asked if she could dress as a 'lollie and pick out panties from Emma's stash - we aim to please around here, so 'lollie costume it was :).
The next weekend we headed to the Perot museum for Brent's birthday.
We looked around the dinosaur exhibit and had a good time playing with the puzzles before heading downstairs to the kids area.
Their favorite part- the water and craft area, of course :).
I adore watching them interact with each other.
They really are my favorite two little people.
I am normally good at remembering to pack snacks and drinks especially if we are going to something where we will be out all day; however, this just got away from me so while Brent and dad finished up; I grabbed the girls a pizza to share and we headed out to play on the frogs.
Definitely one of their favorite parts of the day.
We couldn't leave without stopping to play the instruments before packing up two overly-tired girls and one happy birthday boy in our van.
The next day, we headed to the Dallas Arboretum for some quality sister time.
We had our final soccer practice (and our first one since daylight savings time had set in) the following week where we tried to squeeze out as much playtime as possible.
The next weekend, we watched Emma's soccer game in the morning, ran a few errands and headed home to take naps.
That night, Wes and I got to sneak in a date night to Cantina Laredo - one of our favorite spots :).
The following Sunday, we headed over to Bobbob's house for a pizza dinner with Bobbob and Colleen. And yes, we let the girls dress themselves. And double yes, that girl decided to go dressed as a moo cow.
The following week brought lots of excitement when our neighbor introduced the girls to her baby bird that was unable to fly- this brought on lots of wanting to see the bird every single afternoon before our bike ride/family walk.
One night, Nonni got to come have dinner with the girls (while Papa George) was out of town- the girls loved gnawing on her chicken tenders ;).
This girl is pretty in love with her Nonni.
That Friday, we headed to my parents house to share some big news (again, we are not pregnant ;)) and I caught this sweet sight of my mom and Everly playing the piano together while my dad and Emma had gone across the street to the lake.
The next day, we froze our tushies off at Emma's soccer game. I am stubborn and even though it was freezing, I had it in my mind that we would go to Holiday in the Park, so we headed straight there after the soccer game to find out that it didn't open until 2- in the words of Emma, wompy womp womp. We headed to my friend, Kelli's house to pick up our pack-n-play and take naps before heading back out to Holiday in the Park- see, I told you, I am stubborn.
After Holiday in the Park, we made a stop at my parents house so that Wes could help my dad pack up the kayaks for Port Aransas- the girls and I were so tired that I ended up taking them home and my mom brought Wes home later.
The next morning we headed to church and Emma begged and pleaded and gave me her puppy dog eyes in order to get to paint. I set them down in here while I was making the deviled eggs for Wes's family Thanksgiving. Big mistake, I think they ended up getting more paint on each other than on their piece of paper; but overall, they had a blast.
Wes's family does their Thanksgiving celebration the Sunday before Thanksgiving- we love this tradition because we always get to attend both of our families Thanksgiving celebrations and we never have to choose between the two.
And after the girls warm up, they love it too because there are so many kids, toys and even a dog to play with.
We were all wearing iterations of black, white and/or stripes so we tried to get a group picture for Grandma #keywordtried ;). I am not sure she will be framing this one.

When we got home that evening, we watched the Christmas light show for the first time- so proud of my hubby for putting this together, the girls absolutely love it.
On Tuesday, we headed to Port Aransas to spend Thanksgiving- returning on Saturday evening (much more to come on this next week).
On the Sunday after Thanksgiving, we headed over to Austin and Craig's house to give Theodore his birthday present and celebrate this big guy turning one!! Poor wrapping job (i.e. a blanket scarf), but the present was a cute little dinosaur car.
Emma got to feed her favorite nephew a banana before we headed home to unwind from the trip and have one more pizza dinner with Bobbob and Colleen.
November was so good to us; it gave us the opportunity to spend time with those that we are truly thankful for.
