Touch My Toes

Look who discovered her toes!!!

Step 1: getting prepped (i.e. contemplating whether I want to show mommy my tricks)

Step 2: raise titty toes into the air

Step 3: use all my baby powers strength to reach out and touch my left toe

Step 4: aaahhhhhhh, get a firm grasp on both of my toes (all while wondering, why is mommy snapping all of these pictures)

Step 5: showing mommy I am multi-talented by touching my toes and chewing on my hand all at the same time

They grow up so fast :(

Look Who's Going Bald

And it's not daddy :)

Check out Emma's bald spot.  I think it is so endearing at this stage :)

Probably only something a mom would love- but I don't want to forget a minute of this stage.

Don't worry Ems- one day your hair will grow in.  Maybe it will turn dark and thick like mommy's- there is always hope :)

Welcome Home/Goodbye ALLY!

Ally just got home from Europe and within a few days was heading back to College Station.  My mom had us over for dinner and there were just too many cute pictures not to share (and dedicate a whole blog post too).

Emma with the star of the party (looking a little frightened!)

Mommy and Emma- cant get enough of this girl :)

The fur babies attended the party too!

Emma's new favorite activity- chewing on whoever's hair she can get a hold of.

Emma and Bobbob- I think this may be my favorite picture of these two yet!

Ally getting in on the cuteness!

Me getting in on the cuteness.  I think Emma is trying to tell us that she is tired of taking pictures, enough is enough people :)

First time Emma rode on daddy's shoulders.  If you look closely you can see a big tear on Emma's face, we were trying to calm her down and this seemed to do the trick!

Successful end to the party- Emma was fast asleep and we got the message that it was time to go home!

Can't wait until we get to see Ally again :)

Customer Service

We pulled up to Starbucks this morning- I was anxiously anticipating my coffee.  There was a long line in the drive thru and hardly any of the cars in the parking lot so I decided to go in.  I had the two fur babies and the one real baby in the car with me.  Starbucks (the puppy) was in the front seat, I told him to stay and he obeyed.  I go to open the back door to get Emma out and try to tell Bailey to stay.  He decides not to listen. He tries to jump over Emma and ends up in her lap.  Immediately the tears start (for Emma).  I thought about crying too, but decide that I am an adult and I chose to bring everyone with me so I could hold it together.  I also decide that Emma is now too upset to go in the store.  Bailey gets a little spanking and we decide to back out and go through the drive thru.  We order our coffee (venti iced coffee with toffee nut syrup) and pull up to pay.  The guy behind the counter notices that I have two pups with me and gives them the treats pictured above.  It was the perfect ending to the not so good start.

I think I may have also learned my lesson.  No pups in the car when I want to stop and run errands (or get a coffee:)).

Thank you Starbucks (the coffee shop) for making my morning better.

Emma Flying

Every Saturday night/Sunday morning before church, Wes takes a picture of Emma and I together.  She and I are always dressed our best and it is something cute to do each week and look back to see how much she has grown.  Our pictures start out pretty normal, and Wes just tries to capture both of us looking at the camera.

Success!!

When its been two minutes she starts to get fussy, we start to take flying pictures.  There is nothing more this girl loves to do than fly through the air.  It almost instantly brings a smile to her face.  Check out the pure joy of an infant.

Up we go- firmly grabbing onto mommy's hair:

Legs straight out- I love flying!!!

Pure joy :)  I always say to her Emma Flying and sometimes she giggles :)

Here is a look back at the first flying picture we took together- how fast she is growing up (tear!)

Baptized

Emma was baptized Saturday, May 19th at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church.  Several of our friends and family were able to attend and we both felt really blessed that night.  Emma, I am so proud of you for getting baptized.  You were such an angel that night and the star of the party (even if you did go to sleep before it was time for cake).

Daddy, Mommy, Baby before the baptism.  Emma is wearing the dress that I was baptized in 28 years ago :).

After she was baptized- getting clothed in her white garment:

We are all smiling here so she must have done something good or shrieked :)

Baptism certificate- her first certificate!

Let's get the party started- we had everyone over to our house after the baptism to celebrate.  It was our first party for Emma.  She loved it!

Nor sure what Ally is trying to do here with grandma's cane...

Hilarious shot- I would love to know what conversation preceded this photo:

So proud of myself- my first ombre cake!  I applied different amounts of pink food color to each layer of vanilla cake, it was so yummy.

To say I was proud of myself is an understatement.  I was extremely impressed with my skills.

Adge came in town from Colorado for the baptism.  It was her first time to meet Emma- I think she loved her :).  Had to some some sister shots since the four of us don't get together as much anymore with Adge living so far away. We started out posing decently...

It quickly turned into this...

Which led to this:

Mom decided to get in on the action and we were back to posing nicely.

Here is the whole Prochaska clan- reunited

More silly action shots:

We are so excited and honored to bring you up in the Catholic faith.  Emma- your baptism was a truly special day, mommy will remember and cherish it forever.
